Almost everyone believes that it’s the nicotine that keeps you hooked to cigarettes.
That’s true to some extent. But read as I explain how it’s actually the brainwashing element that keeps smokers hooked to those filthy cigarettes.
Let’s firstly start with what Brainwashing is.
Of course, in a literal sense, brain can’t be washed.
However, the synonym for wash happens to ” carry (someone or something) in a particular direction”. The mind (brain) can be carried away in a particular direction ( made to believe something).
And how can the mind be made to believe something? Repeatedly feeding it with certain ideas is the simplest way to do that.
It is simply to make someone believe something by repeatedly telling them it’s true ( whether it’s so or not).
It’s mainly about influencing your subconscious mind – the powerful secondary system that stores everything that you see, do or think about.
Advertisers and marketers know well the power of suggestion and repetition over the subconscious mind.
Indeed, you see this in your everyday life as certain images, emotions and ideas are fed to you repeatedly to sell you different products.
